Everything must be made during the competition. You must create the graphics, music, sound effects, and code from scratch. It is difficult to specify everything here so make sure you ask if you're unsure.

  2. Can use instrument samples for tracked music

Code

  1. Must start from scratch
  2. You can use documentation and tutorial as references, but no copying

You can use any library that meets the following qualifications.

  2. It was not written by you

Submission

You'll want to submit a zip file containing a readme file, a screenshot of the game, the game itself, any libraries required to run the game, and the source code. Submission link will be provided at the competition.

Judging

Everyone who participated in the competition is a judge. Each judge will evaluate all the entries and give them a score of 1-5 in each of the following categories.

  • Theme
  • Fun
  • Graphics
  • Audio
  • Code

Voting finishes March 14th 2008 at 11:59pm. At that point the results will be tallied and the winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd) announced.

Prizes

This competition is just for fun so there aren't any. On the Game Developers Club website your entry will be showcased as winning the competition.

This competition was based on and inspired by Ludum Dare.
