9.10 - Escherbots
- a game taking place in an mc escher world
- could use free running moves like wall running
- players are robots
- they can replace parts
- lose an eye 3d->2d vision, static with no eyes
- emergency backup camera in the torso, black and white
- could use image filters discussed in last technical discussion
- 4D game, the level changes over time
- stairs move, objects fade in and out of exsistance
- time bomb
- freeze/slow victims and from their point of view everything moves really fast
- victims would rust
- could replace their parts while there are frozen
- can jump around corners and land on people
- each player has gravity independent of each other
- character upside-down can grab characters below
- gravity bomb, changes all characters gravity to face a certain wall
- fall far enough you damage your legs
- robots can fly and gravity doesn't apply to them
- could have a disassemble/assembly skill
- doorways that are like portals from portal
- could be technically challenging
- apparently valve hasn't found a way to make a multi player portal game
- how would spawning be handled
- random spawn points
- don't spawn if players are too close
- constant spawning droids, when you re-spawn you take control of a random one of them
- story?
- in the future they watch gladiator robots fight in an mc escher world
- paintings that can be bleed into the world
- things come out of the paints
- as you get close to the paintings they become 3d and you can walk into it
- could be like a halo deck type world
- starts as plain white and morphs into a world
