Steampunk CCG Development Meeting July 21

This week we talked about the drawing mechanics. In a playtest, Cody had trouble drawing enough materials to summon anything so we through around some ideas for drawing extra resources.

  • Drawing materials from a separate material deck on top of drawing from your regular deck
  • Materials going to your hand after a construct is destroyed.
  • Your factory can refine scrapped materials at a certain rate per turn.
  • You can use a certain number of resource cards from your scrap deck in the construction of new constructs.
  • Constructs may require a certain number of "new" materials but the rest can be scrap. The difference could be distinguished by flipping the cards upside down etc.

We also decided that the stats of all constructs should be lowered to allow for the game to go on longer.
