Pixel World collision detection
- how would you do collision detection from the Pixel World game design discussion
- Use quadtrees algorithm to change visual and collision map
- could store a discrete number of levels for more control (requires more art)
Path following
- Flash has built in curves and you can tell objects to follow them
- parametric curves require you to parameterize it so it is a constant speed
Go AI
- Alex Lorimer showed his Go AI written in XNA
- right now it looks at corners, influence and the last move played
- looking into a learning algorithm to mimic how players learn Go
